Pokemon TCG Market Brief for June 25

Sealed stays firm, singles look noisy, and grading upside is still wild

Today's market still looks split in two. Sealed math is holding together, with Shining Legends at a 2.6x pack EV ratio and White Flare still above water at 1.27x, while the singles tape is full of absurd 7-day spikes and crashes that look more like thin listings getting reset than true demand.
That disconnect matters. Community chatter isn't broad or euphoric right now, and the one card with real discussion volume, Latias & Latios GX, is actually leaning negative on 18 mentions. This is a market where you want clean entries, not panic buys.
Top stories
Sealed EV is still beating singles confidence.
Shining Legends remains the cleanest sealed story on the board at 2.6x pack EV, good for a 160% margin. White Flare is also still profitable at 1.27x. Crown Zenith, on the other hand, sits at 0.76x, which tells you buyers are paying for rip appeal and product familiarity more than strict expected value. That's not a disaster, but it does say sealed buyers are getting pickier, and weaker EV products can stall fast if hype cools.
The biggest 7-day movers are too extreme to trust without context.
Great Ball Reverse Holo from FireRed & LeafGreen up 996.77%, Leafeon 1st Edition from Japanese Rising Fist up 991.21%, and Dark Octillery from Team Rocket Returns up 988.62% are not normal organic moves. Same thing on the downside, with Feraligatr from HeartGold & SoulSilver down 99.96% and Swampert Reverse Holo from Great Encounters down 99.91%. When you see both sides of the market printing near-1000% moves in the same week, that's usually a sign of stale comps, one-off sales, or low-pop inventory resets. Don't anchor to these numbers as fair market value.
Latias & Latios GX is getting talked about, but the tone isn't bullish.
Most sentiment shifts today are based on tiny sample sizes, so they're basically noise. Latias & Latios GX is the exception, with 18 mentions and a negative sentiment score of -20.0. That's meaningful because it shows actual collector attention, but not the kind that usually fuels a breakout. If this card starts dipping on real volume, I'd expect buyers to step in eventually, but for now sentiment and momentum are not aligned.
Charizard cooled off, and that's healthy.
Charizard sentiment slipped to -40.0, even if the mention count is light. After extended periods where anything with a Zard tax got chased, some fatigue is normal. This doesn't read like a collapse, it reads like buyers refusing to overpay. In plain English, the easy flips are gone, and weaker Charizard variants are more exposed than people want to admit.
Grading spreads are still ridiculous in niche pockets.
The raw-to-PSA 10 gaps on today's grading list are massive. Ash Greninja EX [TV Tokyo Lottery] shows raw at $6.30 versus PSA 10 at $16,999.50, with a 56.3% gem rate. Mew at $10.05 raw versus $337.60 in PSA 10 is also eye-catching. Some of these numbers are clearly coming from very thin supply at the top grade, but the message is simple, condition-sensitive cards still have real upside if you know what you're buying.
Today's movers90 day trend
Great Ball [Reverse Holo], FireRed & LeafGreen, +996.77%
This looks like a comp reset, not a broad rush into Great Ball. FRLG reverses are tough and collector-loved, so the card has a real base, but a move this sharp usually means one sale repriced a very thin market. Watch for follow-through listings. If they don't stick, this fades.
Leafeon [1st Edition], Japanese Rising Fist, +991.21%
Eeveelution demand can support crazy prints, especially in Japanese, but again, this is too vertical to call organic. The important part is not the percentage, it's whether new sellers show up near the new level. If supply stays dry, the move can hold better than most of the other gainers.
Dark Octillery, Team Rocket Returns, +988.62%
Ex-era and TRR cards have been quietly getting harder to buy clean. That gives this move more credibility than some of the others, even if the percentage is still cartoonish. If you're tracking ex-era commons, uncommons, and dark cards in high grade, keep this one on the list.
Feraligatr, HeartGold & SoulSilver, -99.96%
Almost certainly bad data, a damaged sale, or a broken comp chain. Still, these giant downside prints can spook weak hands for a few days, and that's where opportunities show up. If clean copies start getting listed under the prior range, I'd rather buy the overreaction than chase a random 900% gainer.
Latias & Latios GX, sentiment down on 18 mentionsLatias & Latios GX · Pokemon Team UpNM$2492.44PSA 10$16150.00+21.9%
Not a price mover in the list, but it matters more than most of the raw percentages today because it has actual conversation volume behind it. If sentiment stays negative while listings rise, expect soft pricing. If sentiment stabilizes first, this becomes a buy-the-dip candidate fast.
Grading spotlight90 day trend
Mew
Raw is $10.05, PSA 10 is $337.60, with a listed ROI of 160300% and a 20.0% gem rate. The spread is excellent, but that gem rate is the catch. This is a cherry-pick play only. If you're buying blind copies, the math gets ugly fast. If you've got a sharp eye and can source near-mint raws locally, this looks undervalued.
Ash Greninja EX [TV Tokyo Lottery]
Raw is $6.30, PSA 10 is $16,999.50, with a listed ROI of 103895% and a 56.3% gem rate. Yes, that number is insane. It also screams ultra-thin PSA 10 supply. Still, a gem rate north of 50% on a card with that kind of slab premium is hard to ignore. This is the highest-upside grading target on today's sheet, but only if authenticity and condition screening are airtight.

Community Pulse

Reddit and social chatter feels cautious, not fearful. The broad market isn't obsessing over one fresh chase card right now, and that's usually when selective buyers do their best work.

Latias & Latios GX is the main conversation driver, with 18 mentions and negative lean. Charizard chatter also cooled, which lines up with the market's current refusal to blindly pay premium prices. Victini improved to a 70.0 sentiment score, but on one mention that's just a blip, not a trend.
