Wild card spikes look noisy again, but sealed EV and promo grading remain the real tells.

Today’s market still feels noisy, and honestly a little distorted. The biggest 7-day movers are packed with near-1000% jumps and 99.9% crashes, which usually means bad comps got replaced, low-volume listings reset the chart, or a single sale hit an empty market.

The cleaner read is the same one we had yesterday: sealed is holding the stronger signal than singles. Shining Legends remains the standout at a 2.68x pack EV ratio, White Flare is still positive at 1.24x, and Crown Zenith continues to look over-ripped at 0.78x.

Sabrina’s Haunter 1st Edition, Japanese Shiny Treasure ex Snorlax, Dark Ampharos, Quaxwell, and Rescue Stretcher all posted roughly 991% to 999% gains in seven days. On the other side, Graveler Reverse Holo from Legend Maker, Feraligatr from HeartGold & SoulSilver, Toys R Us Geodude, Japanese Mirage Forest Gengar 1st Edition, and Wicke all fell about 99.9%. That kind of symmetry is a red flag, not a trend. This confirms yesterday’s read that the tape is being pushed around by thin supply and broken comp chains more than broad demand.

Sealed math is still beating the singles tape.

Shining Legends at 2.68x pack EV ratio is the best number on the board again, with a 168% margin. White Flare is positive too at 1.24x, which says there’s still some room for selective ripping if entry is disciplined. Crown Zenith sits at 0.78x, a negative 22% margin, and that tells you the market is still paying a premium for the opening experience while card values lag. If you want a clean market signal today, this is it.

Promo and low-pop grading is where the real upside sits.

Ash Greninja EX TV Tokyo Lottery is the loudest example, raw at $6.30 versus PSA 10 at $16,999.50, with a listed ROI of 103,895% and a 56.3% gem rate. Even if that spread compresses hard, the gap is too wide to ignore. Beedrill, Houndour, Cinccino Master Ball, and Hoppip also show major slab upside, though the lower gem rates on some of them mean condition discipline matters more than the headline ROI.

Community chatter is narrow, but the message is clear.

Booster box sentiment improved, while Mega Feraligatr ex drew the most discussion volume at 11 mentions and still leaned negative at -14.44. Charizard GX sentiment also slipped hard at -60, even if mention count was light. That’s not panic, but it does suggest collectors are getting pickier about old hype names and more interested in product-level value.

Not a card, but still one of the most important movers to watch. The set remains beloved, but the math says opening it is a losing play at current pack prices. That gap tends to matter once the casual rip energy cools off.

Raw is $13.21, PSA 10 is $26.74, with a 66.7% gem rate and listed ROI of 35,411%. The headline ROI is inflated by the source math, but the practical angle is simple: high gem rate, low raw entry, modest slab premium. This is a cleaner bulk-sub style play than the lottery-ticket promos.

Hoppip

Raw is $7.50, PSA 10 is $63.00, gem rate 69.2%, listed ROI 28,853%. Again, the exact ROI figure is overstated by the calculation method, but the setup is attractive. Cheap in, solid gem odds, enough PSA 10 spread to make a small-stack submission worth considering.

Reddit and social chatter looks selective, not broad-based. Booster box sentiment ticked positive, which lines up with the EV data and tells me sealed remains the safer conversation than singles right now.

On the card side, Mega Feraligatr ex is getting the most attention, 11 mentions, but the tone is negative. Charizard GX also turned sharply negative, though on tiny volume, while Gyarados EX improved. Net result, the crowd is still willing to chase a name card, but they’re much less forgiving when pricing gets ahead of itself.
