Pokemon TCG prices stay soft as upside goes quiet

No quality gainers showed up today, while promos and jumbo cards kept sliding

Today's market feels soft and a little tired. The big headline is simple: no quality-filtered gainers showed up over the last 30 days, which tells you buyers still aren't chasing much outside a few isolated names.

The weakness is showing up most clearly in stamped promos, prize pack cards, and jumbo pieces. That's a different tone from yesterday's split market, where at least some collector pockets were still pushing higher-end niche cards up.

The upside dried up.

No gainers passed the quality filters today, and that matters more than any one card chart. It says recent buying hasn't been broad enough to lift clean, liquid singles in a reliable way. We're not seeing the kind of steady follow-through that usually shows up before a stronger market leg.

Stamped promos got hit hard.

Eevee ex Stamped from Prismatic Evolutions dropped 49.18% to $12.67, and Bulbasaur Stamped from Mega Evolution fell 42.5% to $23.79. That's not just random slippage. It looks like a mix of early hype wearing off and more copies reaching the market, especially on cards that got attention fast but couldn't hold premium pricing.

Prize Pack demand isn't soaking up supply.

Eevee ex Prize Pack also fell 49.18%, now at $26.34. That's a sharp reset for a recognizable character card, and it lines up with a market that's getting stricter on entry points. Collectors still like Eevee, but they clearly don't want to overpay for newer stamped or limited-distribution variants right now.

Jumbo cards remain a weak corner of the market.

Rayquaza VMAX Jumbo from Evolving Skies dropped 26.72% to $9.22, while Rayquaza GX Jumbo from Celestial Storm slid 24.36% to $28.66. Jumbo cards can post flashy PSA 10 numbers, but raw demand is thin and price discovery is messy. This is another reminder that not every Rayquaza item gets carried by the mainline Rayquaza chase-card story.

Pack value is still selective, not broad.

Shining Legends stands out with a 2.75x pack EV ratio and a 175% margin. White Flare is positive at 1.15x, but only barely. Crown Zenith sits underwater at 0.77x, showing that even popular modern sets don't automatically offer good rip value once single prices cool off.

This is a more interesting decline than the jumbo drops. Anniversary cards usually get collector support, so a mid-teens pullback can create real entry points. Not a screaming buy yet, but much closer than the newer stamped cards.

Social chatter is light today, which fits the tape. The names getting positive mentions were Mew EX, Perrin, and Team Rocket's Moltres ex, each with improving sentiment scores between 60 and 70. That's constructive, but with only one mention each, it's more early curiosity than a confirmed buying wave.

On the weak side, Booster Box 1st Edition and Lugia EX both showed declining sentiment at negative 40. Again, mention counts were tiny, so I wouldn't overreact. Still, the tone matches today's broader market, where people seem more willing to question price tags than chase them.
