30th Celebration preorders cool sealed FOMO

More Pokemon Center supply hits as singles stay soft and upside stays quiet

Today's market still feels soft. The biggest tell is that no quality-filtered gainers showed up again, while more 30th Celebration product preorders went live at Pokemon Center, which should ease some of the sealed panic that started building after last week's first drop.

That's a clean sign that more primary-market supply is coming. For collectors, it's good news because access looks better than the first wave suggested. For flippers chasing sealed scarcity, it's a speed bump. The upside is still dead quiet.
No gainers passed quality filters over the last 30 days. That's not a small detail, it's the market telling you buyers still aren't bidding up much with conviction. Yesterday's brief already flagged a tired tape, and today's data confirms it. If there were real broad strength building, we'd see at least a few clean winners. We don't.
Stamped and special-print singles keep getting hit.

That's not random. These cards often get overbought early on low-pop excitement, then slide once more copies surface and buyers get picky on condition. The market is punishing anything that looked scarce for a minute but isn't truly rare.
Jumbo cards are still a weak corner of the market.
Rayquaza VMAX Jumbo from Evolving Skies fell 26.72% to $9.22, and Rayquaza GX Jumbo from Celestial Storm dropped 24.36% to $28.66. Even with Rayquaza's popularity, oversized cards still struggle to hold value because they're awkward to store, harder to grade cleanly, and not a priority for most set builders. This is one of those areas where character demand doesn't automatically save the card.
Pack value still favors selective ripping, not broad sealed buying.
Shining Legends leads the EV table at 2.75x pack EV, with a 175% margin. White Flare sits just above break-even at 1.15x. Crown Zenith is the warning sign, at 0.77x and negative 23%. That's a useful split. Some older specialty product still supports ripping on paper, but not every popular set does. If you're buying sealed, be picky and don't assume brand strength covers weak pack math.
