Pokemon TCG prices stay flat as sealed stays split

Singles were quiet again, while Shining Legends still looks like the best rip

The market stayed quiet again today. No quality-filtered gainers cleared the bar, and no quality-filtered losers did either, so broad pricing was basically flat across the cards we care about.

That leaves sealed as the clearest story on the board. Shining Legends still stands out at a 2.85x pack EV ratio, White Flare is barely above water at 1.06x, and Pitch Black remains a bad rip at 0.72x.

Singles are stuck in neutral for another day.

We had no quality-filtered upside movers and no quality-filtered downside movers over the 30-day read. That's not bearish by itself, it just means conviction is low and buyers aren't chasing. For collectors, this is the kind of tape where patience usually wins.

Sealed value is still split three ways.

Shining Legends remains the standout sealed product with a 2.85x pack EV ratio, or a 185% margin over pack cost. That's a huge gap and it keeps the set in the conversation for rippers and sealed holders alike. White Flare at 1.06x looks basically fair, not cheap enough to pound the table on, but not a brick either. Pitch Black at 0.72x is still underwater, and today's data confirms that yesterday's weak read wasn't a fluke.

Social chatter softened around a few names, but volume was thin.

Bulbasaur [1st Edition] posted a sentiment score drop to -40, Terapagos ex also fell to -40, and Booster Box chatter slipped to -30. Bugsy's Scizor dipped to -20. On the other side, Raichu [1st Edition] improved to 70. The catch is mention count, every one of these moves came on just a single mention, so the direction matters more than the size of the score.

Grading still offers better action than raw flipping.

When the market goes flat, grading spreads matter more. Today's best setups are coming from low raw entry cards with real PSA 10 upside, especially if you can buy clean copies in person and avoid overpaying for already-picked inventory online.
