Card History
Professor Birch’s anime debut is tied to the franchise’s transition into Hoenn, as "Johto Photo Finish" has Harrison point Ash toward Birch and the Hoenn region right after the Silver Conference.
Set Lore
Professor Birch’s Observations appears in XY—Primal Clash, a set based on Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, which makes Birch especially fitting as one of the full-art Supporters spotlighting Hoenn’s story and characters.
