Braviary [Reverse Holo] Card Facts & History
5 facts about this card
Card History
Braviary’s Evolving Skies card leans fully into its reckless persona: Valiant Talons punishes evolved foes, while Brave Bird hits hard but damages Braviary itself, making the gameplay feel as hotheaded as its Pokédex flavor text suggests.
In-Game
This card’s flavor text comes straight from Galar worldbuilding, where Braviary is described as too belligerent for transport duty, leaving Corviknight to become the region’s Flying Taxi instead.
Cultural Impact
Braviary was designed with clear American symbolism in mind—its bald eagle inspiration and red, white, and blue palette fit perfectly with Unova’s New York–inspired identity, giving the card extra cultural personality for collectors.
Card History
Braviary had a memorable starring role in the Black & White anime episode "Saving Braviary!," where N risks himself to rescue an injured captive Braviary from Team Plasma.
Set Lore
Evolving Skies is one of the signature Sword & Shield expansions because it paired the fan-favorite Eeveelutions with the return of Dragon-type Pokémon to the TCG, giving even its lower-rarity pulls a place in a landmark set.
