Delta Species winners keep running as players eye Worlds

Vintage spikes stayed hot today, while a rogue deck call put a few player cards on watch.

Today's market feels split in a pretty clean way. Older singles, especially Delta Species and other low-pop mid-era cards, kept ripping higher on 30-day charts, while the player side of the market started watching a possible Toucannon/Noctowl rogue deck ahead of Worlds. Sealed is still telling its own story too, with Shining Legends packs looking far stronger than most modern product on expected value.
Top stories
Delta Species is still the strongest pocket of the singles market.
Groudon Gold Star from Delta Species is up 149.82% over 30 days to $1,010 raw, with PSA 10 copies averaging $4,077.81. Eevee Reverse Holo from the same set is up 150.0% to $68.49, and the PSA 10 average is a huge $3,490.40. That kind of move across more than one card matters. This isn't one random sale, it's collectors paying up for scarce EX-era stock, especially cards with tough grade profiles and strong set nostalgia.
Worlds testing is putting fringe playables on the radar.
A fresh competitive write-up pushed Toucannon and Noctowl as a real anti-meta idea heading into the World Championships. There isn't broad price confirmation yet, which is normal this early, but this is exactly how low-supply player cards wake up fast. If the deck posts results in late testing or side events, expect a short, sharp move first in the key engine pieces, then in any scarce holo or promo versions tied to the list. Right now this is a watchlist story, not a chase-every-copy story.
Some recent winners are getting sold into hard.
Not every older card is holding. Expedition Ninetales dropped 49.6% over 30 days to $19.88, and social sentiment around Ninetales Reverse Holo also turned negative at -60. Victini VMAX from Battle Styles fell 49.92% to $19.25, which looks like a classic case of a lower-priority modern ultra rare losing support once attention moves elsewhere. The message is simple, buyers are rewarding scarcity and condition rarity, not just age.
Mew strength is showing up in both price and chatter.
Mew Reverse Holo from Evolutions climbed 143.96% over 30 days to $27.75, while sentiment on Mew improved to 60. The PSA 10 average sits at $630.74, which helps explain the rush. When a recognizable character has a cheap raw entry and a big gem premium, collectors and graders pile in fast. This one looks confirmed by both price and sentiment, not just one or the other.
Shining Legends still looks like the best rip among tracked sets.
Its pack EV ratio sits at 3.06x, good for a 206% margin. That's miles ahead of White Flare at 0.96x and Crown Zenith at 0.67x. In plain English, Shining Legends is one of the few places where ripping still looks favorable on paper. That usually supports loose pack demand and keeps sealed supply from getting any easier to find.

Gainers
Mew Reverse Holo, EvolutionsMew [Reverse Holo] · Pokemon EvolutionsNM$27.75PSA 10$630.74+14.8%
Now $27.75 raw, up 143.96%. The card has broad character demand, improved sentiment, and a PSA 10 average of $630.74. That's a strong mix. I wouldn't chase ugly raws here, but clean copies still make sense.
Ninetales, ExpeditionNinetales · Pokemon ExpeditionNM$19.88PSA 10$243.94+19.5%
Now $19.88 raw, down 49.6%. This drop is big enough to get attention, but the negative sentiment says don't rush in just because it's cheaper. Let it base first. Falling knives in e-Reader can stay falling longer than people think.
Decliners
Groudon Gold Star, Delta SpeciesGroudon [Gold Star] · Pokemon Delta SpeciesNM$1010.00PSA 10$4077.81-1.0%
Now $1,010 raw, up 149.82% in 30 days. This is the kind of move that usually scares people off, but Gold Stars don't need much volume to reset higher. If clean raws keep drying up, the next leg can still happen, especially with PSA 10 at $4,077.81.
Eevee Reverse Holo, Delta SpeciesEevee [Reverse Holo] · Pokemon Delta SpeciesNM$68.49PSA 10$3490.40-4.6%
Now $68.49 raw, up 150.0%. This is one of the clearest examples of condition rarity doing the heavy lifting. A $3,490.40 PSA 10 average tells you buyers want top-end copies badly. Raw copies that look gem-worthy won't stay cheap.

Toucannon and Noctowl pieces
No major price spike yet, but this is the player-trade setup to watch over the next few days. If testing chatter turns into actual Worlds results, low-supply singles from the deck can jump overnight. The best move is to identify the key list cards before everybody else does, not after a top cut finish.
Grading spotlight90 day trend
BanetteBanette · Pokemon Power KeepersNM$9.57PSA 10$670.60+19.1%
Raw is $9.57, PSA 10 average is $670.60, for an estimated ROI of 799%. The catch is the gem rate, just 15.5%. This is not a bulk submission card. It's a hand-pick play only. If you can inspect surface and edges carefully, the upside is real.
Misdreavus Reverse HoloMisdreavus [Reverse Holo] · Pokemon Team Rocket ReturnsNM$46.63PSA 10$1759.10+25.0%
Raw is $46.63, PSA 10 average is $1,759.10, also showing 799% ROI with a 15.3% gem rate. Same story here, very strong reward, very low margin for error. For experienced graders, this is the better target of the two because the top-end sale price is high enough to justify patience.

Community Pulse

Collector chatter is still leaning toward older scarcity, especially EX-era and oddball reverse holos. The biggest positive turn in the sentiment data was Mew, which matches the price action. Hoopa XY-P also improved on sentiment, though mention volume was tiny, so I wouldn't read too much into it yet.

On the negative side, Gengar sentiment softened and M Rayquaza EX sentiment was sharply lower, but both came on very light mention counts. That's not panic, it's more like attention fading after a hot stretch. Ninetales weakness feels more real because the sentiment drop lines up with an actual 30-day price hit.

Player discussion is more focused than broad right now. The Toucannon/Noctowl deck idea got people talking because Worlds is close and everyone wants to find the one rogue list that steals rounds. If that talk spreads from theory to testing results, demand will follow fast.
