Ghost-type history
Ghost is one of the 15 original types from Generation 1 (1996), though it had very few species and moves at first.
It takes no damage at all from Fighting moves, one of the few outright immunities in the game, and its mutual immunity with Normal has been a defining trait since the beginning. Later generations greatly expanded its movepool.
